‘Vantage’ Release Date Confirmed - reviews coming in!

After many delays and setbacks we finally have an official release date for ‘Vantage’. The album will be available form Sound Devastation Records on the 15th of September 2008. A retail release date will follow closely thereafter. Your best bet is to just get it direct from the label anyway, especially if you’re in the UK.

Unfortunately the release of ‘Vantage’ has been put back slightly. Manufacturing has taken longer than we anticipated and Sound Devastation have suffered a few problems along the way. None the less, if all goes according to plan ‘Vantage’ should see an Autumn release. Not too far off now!

limited edition Vinyl version will follow soon after that with some equally spectacular alternate art.

Welcome to the new Analysis of Bison Kills site!

In anticipation of the release our new mini album ‘Vantage’ we’ve given the site a complete overhaul. There’s loads of new content for you to check out, so why not have a look around?

More importantly, we’re on the cusp of releasing ‘Vantage’. Our first ‘official’ release for Sound Devastation Records. The album is set to be released around Feb/March in 2008. It will come packaged in a deluxe mini gatefold sleeve with the same beautiful artwork that graces this site. The wonderfully talented comic artist Danica Novgorodoff was kind enough to provide us with art for this release.

New mini album recorded

We are pleased to announce that our new mini album for Sound Devastation Records is recorded and mixed. ‘Vantage’ was tracked in Holland with Joris Ruigewaard in April 2007 and was mixed in July. Mastering duties will be handled by Nick Zampeillo who has also done work for bands like Isis, Austerity Program, Knut and Cave In.

The mini album will contain 4 new songs and will clock in at roughly 30 minutes.

‘Vantage’ will be released by the fine folks at Sound Devastation Records. Go here to check them out, they have a whole host of brilliant releases in the pipeline.

In case you didn’t know, the band now has a full line up, with Scott Tyrell joining us as our full time bass guitarist. His contributions to ‘Vantage’ were invaluable and we’re very happy to have him on board.

This new release is sounding immense and we can’t wait to get it out there. There’s a definite progression in our sound, with this record sounding more intricate and varied than anything we’ve ever done.

Artwork duties will be handled by the brilliant underground comic artist Danica Novgorodoff, we highly recommend you run out and buy her book ‘A Late Freeze’ right now.

Expect the album to be released towards the end of 2007. Keep an eye on the Sound Devastation Records and our site for updates.

I’m very pleased to announce that Analysis of Bison Kills have singed to Sound Devastation Records! (sounddevastation.co.uk). We will be recording new material later this year for our debut release on Sound Devastation. We’re totally stoked and can’t wait to get these new songs out there! The album is likely to have some pretty special artwork and packaging. More on that as we get it…

In other news, we recently setup a MySpace page, so please feel free to visit our page HERE and add yourself as a friend. By all means, leave us some comments and plug you own bands! More updates will follow as we get closer to the recording of the new album. I’m also going to attempt to update the blog on our Myspace site on a more regular basis.

At present both Nathan and I are playing in a drone/doom band called Feeble. I’m doing electoacoustic arrangements and keyboards, Nath is handling bass duties. The band is currently a six piece, 2 bassists, 2 guitarists, and two of us on electronics/noise generators/keyboards. Amongst our ranks are members of Reth, Analysis of Bison Kills and National Grid HVRP. The music is slow, dense and tectonic. We are actively gigging around York at the moment and plan to hit Leeds in the near future. We’ll be playing at Cert 18 in York on 25/02/06 with Red Stars Parade, Flatlands and a whole host of others. It’ll be a blast so be sure to turn up and witness the drone. More dates tbc as we get them. If anyone wants to book us for a gig please drop me a line.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have unfortunately had to change the name of the band… as you may have already guessed! With the very-similarly-named Teargas and Plateglass (on the Waxploitation label) holding the UK copyright to the name, there was absolutely nothing we could do but change.

So welcome one and all to the world of Analysis of Bison KIlls!

We hope to bring you some new music very soon, and we’re pleased to say that our back catalogue - under the name Tear Gas and Plate Glass - is still available from our online store.

Hello there all! It’s been some time since the site was last updated, so I thought I’d let you all know what’s been going on. I’m moving to York so
that I can work more closely with Nathan on new Tear Gas & Plate Glass material. With us both living in the same city will we will be looking to
assemble a live band. We have most of the additional members sorted, but given that Andries lives in Holland, we are now searching for a drummer to do gigs with us. If you think you fit the bill, drop us an email! You’ll need to live in York or near enough to commute to practice sessions on a regular basis. So, if all goes well, we hope to be posting some live dates on the site in a few months time.

There is some new material written for the next release but I expect it all to be overhauled when we start to work as a band, as opposed to just a two piece. Nathan has been playing bass in another band known as “The National Grid”, a York based outfit who creatively meld krautrock, prog and etherial guitar atmospherics. They are actively gigging and judging from the live recordings I’ve heard, they’re pretty damn fine. I’ll be posting any future live dates for The National Grid on the site. More on that as it happens…

Welcome to the new Tear Gas & Plate Glass website! As you may well have noticed the site has been completely overhauled and expanded. There are now a variety of sections to explore, so have a look around!

Perhaps most importantly, we now have an online store so you can order our CDs directly from the site. We accept all major credit and debit cards and all transactions are handled by PayPal, so you can be confident about ordering security.

One massive ‘thank you’ goes out to Elliot Jay Stocks for designing us such a lavish site. We’d have been more than a little lost without you! I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported us by buying CDs, reviewing our material, or just generally blabbering on about our music in any way shape or form. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Melanie and Kevin for contributing their art to our latest release.

We are going to try and update the site on a regular basis and we’ll do our best to keep you posted on any new developments as they happen.
